who is 16 Miles Out?
16 Miles Out is a trio based in Milton, Ontario. All three members, Jo, Jay, and Lloyd are vocalists and multi-instrumentalists. Their collective diversity in skill and taste allows them to cover a wide variety of genres, suitable for just about any setting.
Jo, Jay, and Lloyd first met online during the early days of the 2020 lockdown through a locally run, musically focused, Facebook group, The Music Exchange. They started off sharing their individual performances within the group, then moved to collaborating online, then in person, and eventually to forming a group in the spring of 2022.
While they have only been together for a short time, they have been able to put together a strong repertoire and and even stronger rapport with each other. They work as a single unit to ensure a solid entertainment and enjoyment at all their shows.
jay
Jay is a 25-cent harmony making machine who swerves throughout his influences that span from the 70’s through to the 90’s. He enjoys Kentucky mules, a good fishing story, and making sweet music with his musical partners.
Jo Anne
Jo is a kick ass entrepreneur by day and a rockstar by night…kidding she’s an 80s kid who loves Duran Duran and anything 80’s but now her musicl genres have expanded by playing with Lloyd and Jay. She loves Cosmos, tall men, and jamming out with her band mates!
Lloyd
Lloyd does everything he can to keep up with these two A-Types. While he’s catching his breath most of the time, he does have a blast exploring all types of music with these maniacs. Happiness for Lloyd is a pint of Guinness, a ball game in the background, and a guitar.
